Sun-Caught Ice

  1. Or maybe ice-caught sun! The contrast between the soft background and the dagger of ice is striking.

  2. I took other shots that showed entire spears, a long row of them, but this partial view of one of the largest icicles seemed to tell the story best.

  3. Yes, Like I said, I Love your Water Shots. I also Like your Manitou Sunset and your Drops on Birch Branches. Those are my January Favorites.

  5. Thanks. Here's what I'm thinking as I look at the photo this morning: That thick column of ice in the center looks so solid and strong--and yet, it has long since melted!

  6. So Sticking and yet Ice, just like Dew is Temporary.

"3) Therefore, they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney." (Hosea 13:3, KJV)

Let us not be Deceived by that which will not Last. There is Probably another Verse that says something Similar to that, yet I'm too Lazy to Find it Right Now.
