Where Did We Go This Time?
Sweet fern (not really a fern) near Luzerne |
[Returning 9/23 to give answers]
Some of these images are much easier to locate than others.
The one on top is a green plant with a woody stem.
It is extremely fragrant.
I'll be grateful to the person who can identify it for me.

Moon Nearly full
Actually, it was a shot pretty much in the dark, but the moon was very bright the night before its official full phase. And no clouds were getting in the way of seeing it, either.

More from the Hotel
After Rick Capogrossa posted a photo of David and me on Facebook, I told him I'd post more of him, so here's another behind the counter of the Superior Hotel, coffee mug and plate of taffy in front of him, Grand Marais Pilot to the side.
Now to peek again into the Capogrossas' private sitting room and to look more closely at some objects on the hotel dining room wall.
Up North, eh? |

Fishing Harbor, Naubinway
Naubinway is one of our traditional stops on the way north. We look at the fishing boats and the old trucks, walk Sarah, and I take note of the different plant life that far north on Lake Michigan. This year we found Ida S. with a new coat of paint, looking good.

Wild Apple Time, Too
We see these on our morning walks -- not that Sarah pays much attention to fruit on trees when there are so many good smells on the ground.
