There was a slight hazy quality
to the morning light,
but the sun shone brightly,
and the air was soft and balmy.
Golds and russets glow.
My son, visiting from Kalamazoo,
joined Sarah and me
on the back roads this morning.
We will be joined soon
by the rest of the visiting family,
and tomorrow we'll all go together to the
State Theatre in Traverse City.
Life is good.
