Wild Leeks in the Morning

 


How the spirit is lifted by the emergence of bright green leaves on a sunlit morning!





Claytonia was still enjoying her beauty sleep, but those petals will open as the day warms. Leaves and corms are edible.

And this is only the beginning of spring ephemera in the woods. Another spring! What a gift!
