A Beautifully Designed Landscape

This hillside just south of us lies at the north end of Leland Township. The hill did not occur naturally in its present conformation but was sculpted years ago to receive cherry trees. Later a vineyard was added. I love the way the clumps of birch trees were left as punctuation marks within the text of the vines. It is a beautiful view at any time of year but particularly eye-catching on Thursday as more and more snow melted away to reveal bare ground.
