Winter Drive to Northport

I removed the color from the first three of these images, reducing them to black and white, and then lightened the overall tone.

This would be a better composition if the sign were not so close to the center, but I didn't want to crop.

West Street is beautiful in every season.

Finally, for the fourth image, I left the color in. There isn't much, but the stop sign and taillights in color show how monochromatic our world really is at this time of year.

  1. I like them. Particularly the last one with the touches of color. It's going to be a long winter.

  2. Maybe I should post some warm soup pictures soon, Dawn. :)
