Left Behind on the Trail
This jaw fragment was lying on the path when Sarah and I came upon it. After examination, I left it in a tree, at about eye level. Whose eye? That is the question!
Wow! Interesting, but I have a Few Questions for you. How Big is it? You've Given no Clue to the Size and because of that it Looks to me Like the Jaw of a Dinosaur. What sort of an Animal Lives in your Area that has a Jaw Like That?
Deer probably, maybe horse, but given where you are it is almost certainly a deer. --Chad How to age Michigan deer: http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-10363_10856_10905-32296--,00.html

ReplyDeleteAbout the length of my hand, and I'm thinking probably a deer. See how worn down those teeth are? Looks like grazing. Similar to horses' teeth.
ReplyDeleteAlso, finding the fragment makes sense because of all the coyotes in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeletecool...but creepy too...
ReplyDeleteJust nature being nature.
