Some turning color is vivid, other bits subtle, but there are marvelous close-up scenes along every Leelanau road these days, and they seemed especially vibrant after yesterday's rain and today's early morning fog.
Morning views across Lake Leelanau were wonderful, too. "Look, Sarah!" I would say. But she was too busy sniffing the ground, enjoying her own private symphony.
