Green Things, Pale Things, Haws

 

Before the latest snow (only a dusting so far), I went looking for bright green and found a lot.

Fungi had been popping up, too, in the strange December warmth. Little ones -- and big ones! That's the toe of my winter boot for scale.

The green leaves and surprising fungi were interesting, but I needed some red and found it in a little hawthorn tree.
