In the Wooded Dunes Again

Walk in Wooded Dunes
Despite gunshots in the distance, we had the path all to ourselves.
Here you can see the splatter marks made by raindrops falling on the sandy trail.
It felt fabulous to be out on such a calm, mild day, taking note of all the small natural objects that will soon lie beneath a blanket of snow.

The Illusion of Frozen Time
Except in my dreams, where the images contained begin to shift and move and transform in my hand, all still photographs freeze time. Some, though, manage to convey a sensation of movement, while others convey timelessness. Which strikes you as more timeless, sepia tone or black and white? And what do we think or feel or perceive, anyway, that we call "timeless"?

Before Last Night's Wind
This is now the orchard on the west side of Novotny Road looked, down the hill from St. Wenceslaus Church.
