Leaves Once More

This time I altered so many times I lost track but stopped short (at least, I think I did) of converting the image to complete abstraction.

Leaves
This is the original image, as it was shot with available light on the super-macro setting. Below is the same image after cropping:

Next I applied the same two filters used on the cattle images, first "glowing edges," then "crosshatching."

Continuing the same sequence of alterations used on the cattle images I lowered the color saturation.

Finally, going beyond the cattle image alteration sequence, I took out all the color for a black-and-white image.

Cattle

These exposures were made with a Fuji FinePix digital camera, model S700. Images were cropped in the Quick Fix menu of Photoshop Elements. In the Standard menu, first Accented Edges and then Crosshatch filters were applied. Finally, back in the Quick Fix menu again, color saturation was lowered to tone down the unnaturally bright green added by the filters.
